30 MILLION EUROS OF FUNDING FOR FERA FROM A POOL OF BANKS WHICH CONSIST OF INTESA SANPAOLO, BPCE LEASE & NATIXIS
2021 two wind farms will be built in the province of Savona
Milan, 10th February 2021 – FERA SRL, a leading Milanese operator active in the renewable energy sector of electricity generation, through the subsidiary Aleramo, obtained a loan of 30 million euros from a pool of banks consisting of Intesa Sanpaolo, BPCE Lease Italia and Natixis. The operation will allow for the construction and management of two wind farms with a total power of 20.8 MW in the municipalities of Cairo Montenotte and Pontinvrea in the province of Savona during the year.
FERA SRL (Fabbrica Energie Rinnovabili Alternative) has been operating since 2001 in the renewable energy sector, selling the electricity that it produces exclusively from renewable sources (wind and biogas). FERA is a leader in Liguria in the production of energy from wind sources with approximately 58% of the installed capacity and in Northern Italy with approximately 36%. The company has also launched a charging service for electric cars – via the subsidiary company RICARICA – which to date has 30 charging points which offer energy produced exclusively from renewable sources, at the most competitive prices on the market. International law firm DLA Piper acting alongside Natixis, a co-arranger bank together with Intesa Sanpaolo, as well as assisting lenders and hedging banks, took care of the preparation and negotiation of all financial documentation relating to the project. The team was coordinated by partner Giovanni Ragnoni Bosco Lucarelli and made up of lawyers Claudio D’Alia, project manager of the operation and Francesco Chericoni in addition to Alessandra Fanelli and Emanuele Sornaga. Partner Germana Cassar and lawyer Alessia Marconi took care of the administrative and regulatory profiles. This is addition to Koinè ( a Milanese corporate law firm ) headed by lawyer Antonio Schiavo, who assisted Aleramo SRL.
