FERA TH makes solar cooling sustainable and reduces energy bill costs

From 7th to 9th the launch at SolarExpo
FERA, Fabbrica Energie Rinnovabili Alternative, inaugurates the solar cooling system in Gorla Maggiore (Varese, Italy).
The plant is installed on the roof of the town Day Care Centre (“Centro Diurno Integrato”), a structure that provides social services, humanitarian and medical assistance and rehabilitation.
The plant, designed by Zefiro Energia, uses the concentrating solar thermal collector FERA TH, developed and marketed by the Company CSP -F.
The plant was built with the contribution of Regione Lombardia and is the first solar cooling in Italy made with Fresnel mirrors.
On May 6th , the Day Care Centre in Gorla Maggiore will host the Official Opening Ceremony, with a roundtable moderated by the journalist Antonio Cianciullo (“La Repubblica”) and dedicated to the theme “Solar Thermal: Applications and Market”. Also participating are Dino De Simone (Finlombarda), Gianni Silvestrini (Scientific Director of the Kyoto Club association and the magazine QualEnergia), Damiano Di Simine (President of Legambiente Lombardia), Mario Motta (Politecnico of Milan) and Cesare Fera (Vice President of Anest, National Association of CSP) .
